about me
Hello! My name is Ashley Tysor and I am a musical theatre graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Currently choreographing, performing, and teaching all the time, I'm thrilled to be able to share a bit about myself!
I grew up just outside of Austin, Texas, and I’ve been singing and dancing since I was 3 years old. Though I didn’t try acting until high school, I took to it immediately and fell in love. I was lucky enough for my first production to travel to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and went on to work with the Long Center’s select ensemble before I graduated.
I have worked with Summer Stock Austin as an ensemble member, as well as a wardrobe supervisor and college mentor. At UTA, I got to travel to France with American Musical Theatre Live! Paris, gain experience as an understudy and swing, and play my favorite role thus far, Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime.
In what free time I have I love sewing and crafting, drinking large amounts of tea both hot and iced, and watching as many movies as possible. I am an avid painter, and dabble in embroidery, sewing, and crochet. My gnome collection is growing larger every day.
I’m looking forward to seeing what lies ahead. I’ve started expanding into film and commercial work with Paramount, Margaritaville and Winstar World Casino, theme park entertainment, and corporate events. I've enjoyed working all over the DFW, so I hope to see you around!
